Carey named new quality medical director
Marc Carey, M.D., Ph.D., Providence Family Medicine – Southeast, was named Providence Milwaukie Hospital’s quality medical director. In this position, Dr. Carey provides leadership
and planning for quality management to ensure the efficient, effective delivery of quality inpatient, outpatient and community-based care.
Dr. Carey earned both a doctorate in neuro-
science and his medical degree from Oregon Health & Science University. After completing his residency in family medicine at Providence Milwaukie Hospital, Dr. Carey joined the faculty.
Medication reconciliation to go high-tech
The medication reconciliation process will go electronic in September, making it easier to track, reconcile, and provide patient-friendly documentation for patients’ medications.
